Andeana Women’s Retreat in Peru

Location: Cusco, The Sacred Valley and The Amazon Rainforest in Peru

Spend a week with Pats and Laura visiting the origin of both of their businesses; Andeana Hats and Glossy Paradise. On this tour between the Sacred Valley and Peruvian Amazon, you will get to meet the communities behind their products, see how they create them from scratch, and get a bit of relaxation and exploration in while taking in the incredible beauty of these two completely different worlds that both exist within Peru.

This is an exciting itinerary that takes you to the highlights of Peru, traveling through two very different terrains and climates. The Andes Mountains and Amazon Rainforest are fascinating destinations that should be on everyone’s travel bucket lists.

Visit a Weaving Community in Rural Peru


Duration: 6 Hours (approx.)

Location: Ollantaytambo, Peru

Dates: Monday through Saturday at 9:00 am to Huilloc and Patacancha


Visit the rural community who weaves Andeana Hat straps. This trip includes a weaving lesson instructed by one of the Awamaki Artisans. Begin with spinning wool into yarn, learn how local plants are used as natural dyes, and finally weave your own bracelet. Enjoy a home-cooked meal in a weaver’s home, including soup and a main course. Weaving Immersion Weekend in Peru

Duration: 2-Days, 1-Night

Location: Ollantaytambo, Peru

Dates: Monday through Saturday in Huilloc and Patacancha


Learn to weave and experience Quechua village life in this two-day, one-night excursion. Awamaki’s Weaving Immersion Weekend combines village activities, like visiting family farms and hiking to livestock pastures and glacial lakes, with one-on-one weaving lessons from one of Awamaki’s artisans. Visitors stay with local families in a traditional village in a spectacular mountain setting an hour from Ollantaytambo.
